Knitting the material

KOGANE was founded on the concept of "knitting materials."

This is a yarn brand created by Kogane Woolen Mill Co., Ltd., one of the few spinning companies in Japan that spins cashmere and wool.

The decision to launch KOGANE in late August 2025 was made last December.

After nine months of numerous prototypes and meetings, we are relieved that we were able to successfully launch the product.

From now on, we would like to send out irregular updates as a place to gradually share our thoughts and commitment.

We are a brand that has just launched, but we hope you will support us!

Kogane Woolen Mill Co., Ltd. is based in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, and its own factory, Akita Kogane Co., Ltd., is located in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture. It is one of the few woolen spinning factories in Japan that handles everything from spinning to twisting yarn.

The wool and cashmere yarns spun in Akita Kogane are delivered to knitwear factories across the country as industrial yarns.

It is made into clothing such as sweaters and cardigans and is transformed into products for various brands.

I'm sure there are some of you who have unknowingly worn clothing made with Kogane Woolen's yarn.

Kogane Woolen's yarn has been a part of people's daily lives for use in clothing.

And now, with the newly launched brand KOGANE,

We have given texture treatment to industrial yarn and are proposing it as handicraft yarn for those who enjoy knitting.

I'm sure there are many people who have become familiar with wool and cashmere knitwear as everyday clothing.

KOGANE yarn is a soft, airy yarn born from the technology that has supported Japanese clothing for many years.

We hope you will experience the soft texture as you knit it with your own hands.

From now on, KOGANE will utilize the appeal of the ingredients themselves and offer everyone the opportunity to "enjoy the ingredients."
