Kit / Separate yarn arrangement 🧶
With the harsh cold continuing, it has become the season where warm clothes are indispensable.
Isn't this a time when you spend more time at home, and the moments you spend knitting feel even more comfortable?☺
KOGANE knitting kits have been well-received by many.
We designed them to have a beautiful silhouette and be loved for a long time.
Because they are simple items, there is room for each knitter to enjoy their own ingenuity and arrangements.
We also included the hope that KOGANE's kits could be the "beginning" that expands crafting.
This time, we will introduce items knitted with different yarns, using the patterns from KOGANE's knitting kits.
cashmere C/#Peacock 230g
The beautifully shaped crew neck sweater kit from Thank You was arranged into a vest by knitting it with cashmere and omitting the sleeves.
To make it easier to layer with shirts and cut-and-sew tops, the number of rows in the armholes was increased, and the size was adjusted to be slightly larger.
*After taking photos, I reflected that it might have been better to add a few more rows to the armholes.
By designing it with layering in mind, it turned into a piece that can be enjoyed for a long time, not only in midwinter but also until early spring◎
YAK C/#Beige 60g, Thank You C/#Sunset 83g, Blue Fox Wool C/#Natural 83g
is based on the M size kit, and knitted with three types of yarn: YAK, Blue Fox Wool, and Thank You.
Since Blue Fox Wool and Thank You are similar in thickness to cashmere, I knitted them as is without significant modifications.
On the other hand, since YAK is slightly thinner, I adjusted the size by increasing the number of rows while considering the overall balance.
Blue Fox Wool gives an elegant look, Thank You a casual one, and YAK a soft expression.
Even with the same pattern, the difference in yarn changes the look and feel when worn, which is one of the joys of knitting.
Precisely because it's the cold season, the time spent touching yarn is comforting.
